i) Questions About Outsourcing In General

All questions about outsourcing in general are answered in our Help Section. You can also learn more about this phenomenon from the book selection offered on the right.

1. Questions About Hiring Us

Do you offer other services?

Actually we offer quite a lot. The services that you see on our home page are the most requested, but you can find the entire gamut of what's available through this link.

I need 50 700-word articles for $25 by tomorrow. Can you do this for me?

Please see the rates listed on the SEO Article Writing page. If you want quality work from DocuMaker Communication Solutions, then you must follow the given rates and provide a reasonable amount of time to complete the work (1-2 weeks). Requests like the above are generally ignored and more appropriate for authors of bad writing -- NOT DCS!

Can you write a free sample paragraph or article about a subject before I hire you?

Time contraints prevent us from writing free material. Please use our sample writing as a gauge. All of the sample products we make available are provided so that you can get a reasonable idea of what to expect -- before hiring us. Submitting free work -- even as a test of some sort -- puts us at a financial disadvantage and prevents us from devoting quality time to paying clients.

What happens if you can't handle the work we want?

In the event that you present us with a job we're unable to complete in the time allotted, we'll let you know immediately (within 24 hours) so that you can begin pursuit of a different freelancer.

What if I'm not satisfied with the work you do. What then?

Based on the contract that you agree to, you may not have to pay for work that you feel is unsatisfactory. Diligent efforts are made to ensure that you are satisfied. However in the case that you aren't satisfied, there are procedures put in place so that both you and DocuMaker Communication Solutions can amicably solve any problems with the work you receive.

I've never contracted a freelancer over the internet before. How will I know you won't cut out on me?

If it will make you more comfortable, DocuMaker will deposit a percentage of your job's cost into escrow as a motion of good faith.

2. Payment Options

What is Rentacoder and why do we need to go through this service just to work with you?

Rentacoder (RAC, Rent-A-Coder, etc.) is a 3rd-party international marketplace for freelance employment and provides free payment processing. More importantly, Rentacoder offers an unbiased arbitration system in the event that two parties have a dispute over a work contract. So DocuMaker basically uses Rentacoder as a 3rd party payment processor and protection buffer. Only in rare cases is work performed outside of a Rentacoder contract.

I don't want to go through Rentacoder. How can we set up a contract amongst ourselves?

At this time, such an arrangement is unavailable. In the future, we may perform work outside of Rentacoder through an up-front, full paid, and non-refundable service only.

3. Legal Questions

Who owns the copyrights to the work I buy?

DocuMaker Communication Solutions acts as a ghost-writer (ghost-programmer, ghost-artist, etc.) so copyrights remain with persons who purchase the work - not persons who create it. This is explained in the contract that you agree to while working with DocuMaker through via Rentacoder.

Can I get the source code of the work I buy from you?

All source code is provided except for branded software. This is to protect other customers who may wish to brand the same software that you do. For exclusive rights to a software product, you will need to ask for custom software development.

4. Other

What does "DocuMaker" stand for?

DocuMaker is the abbreviated concatenation of two words: (1) The first half of "document": docu-ment, and (2) the entire word, "maker." In essence, DocuMaker stands for "maker of documents" or "document maker." In other unrelated usage, a "documaker" is a documentary film producer.

I don't see my question addressed here. How can I contact you?

You can send email to admin@outsource2documaker.com, or a fax to: (253) 595-0700.
