1. Barter goods and services with other businesses. You should in fact, try to trade for something before you buy it. You might be surprised at what some people are willing to trade — especially in a tough economy.

2. Networking your business with other businesses. Trade leads or mailing lists for example, to cut down on costs needed to locate new markets.

3. Buy business supplies in bulk quantities. You could get a membership at a wholesale warehouse or buy them through a mail order wholesaler. Buy the supplies you are always running out of.
